Your next step
Choose the closest match for relevant information about your service request.
No appointment is requested here.
A useful maintenance agreement tells you what is inspected, what is serviced and what costs extra. Match the visit to your equipment and service history.
Ask for the checklist before agreeing to the visit. An inspection records condition; a maintenance visit may also include defined service tasks; a repair addresses a diagnosed problem. A tune-up label by itself does not explain what you are buying. Request an example of the written report and ask how recommendations will be separated from work included in the visit.
List the indoor and outdoor components, the number of systems and the last service date. Tell the provider about any active fault, because a routine appointment may not include diagnosis. Ask how manufacturer guidance applies to the equipment and its use. Keep filter information and past invoices available without opening the equipment to retrieve details.
Compare the one-time visit with the recurring agreement. Ask how many visits are included, which equipment is covered, how renewal works and what cancellation involves. If priority scheduling is advertised, ask what that means in practice and whether it guarantees an appointment. Keep the written terms rather than relying on the name of the plan.
Start with the details
Gather the equipment details and last service date. Ask whether your cooling and heating systems require separate appointments.
Request the provider's maintenance checklist, the fee and any exclusions. A maintenance visit is not the same as a repair agreement.
Keep the manufacturer's instructions available. Ask about the appropriate filter and maintenance schedule for your particular system.
Maintenance needs vary by equipment and usage. Ask about the provider's checklist and charges. A service visit does not guarantee future performance or prevent every breakdown.
